The eldest son of Silicon Valley software engineers, Daniel Azuma has been programming computers since the age of six. He now holds computer science degrees from Caltech and the University of Washington, and has worked as a software engineer and architect in several Seattle-based technology firms, including online retail giant Amazon.com. Daniel is also pursuing a theology degree at Regent College in Vancouver, BC, and hopes, through Future Hope and other venues, to find new ways to utilize technology in ministry.
Andrew Chen Member
Andrew Chen spent the two halves of his life on a different sides of the globe. Growing up in the ancient city of Tainan, Taiwan, he lived the ordinary life of a kid until the age of 14, when his family moved to Port Lavaca, Texas. After finally getting used to burritos, pick- up trucks, bluebonnets allergy, and Texas football, Andrew again picked up the sack and moved to Seattle in 1999, where he continues to reside today. Traveling to El Salvador was the result of an accidental conversation he had with Vivien Ng at church in early 2005. The trip opened up his eyes to people's lives that he'd never witnessed before. He attributes this larger-than-life experience to the grace of God, and decided to stay in and become a member of Future Hope, through better or worse.
Allen Chung Member
Allen is a freelance web designer/developer with specialization in Flash. Having never lived anywhere else besides Seattle, his birth place of Taipei and a brief stint in Los Angeles, he is curious to how life is outside of the comforts of "civilization", and sees Future Hope as an opportunity to learn more about and perhaps help people in different circumstances.
